Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has promoted Uganda Police’s Director of Crime Intelligence (DCI), Brigadier Frequent Christ Damulira, to the unsuitable of Major Frequent—leaving him correct two ranks a long way from reaching the very top most likely accolade in Uganda’s protection power.

Major Frequent Bakasumba has since been redeployed to the protection power as Chief of Joint Group and has now been promoted by Chief of Defence Forces –CDF Frequent Muhoozi Kainerugaba alongside the army’s head of Joint Group Human Resource Administration, Brigadier James Kinalwa. Kinalwa has been elevated to Major Frequent.
Bakasumba and Kinalwa appointments were confirmed by UPDF’s Division of Defense Public Info Space of job (DPIO ) headed by Performing Maj. Gen. Felix Kulayigye.
“The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Frequent Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has promoted two Uganda Folks’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Generals. Major Frequent Jack Bakasumba has been elevated to the unsuitable of lieutenant current, whereas Brigadier Frequent James Kinalwa has been promoted to major current,” the DPIO office acknowledged.
The Bakasumba and Kinalwa elevation came hours after Uganda Police Pressure (UPF) Director of Crime Intelligence—DCI Damulira, used to be promoted to major current.
“I am deeply honoured to teach my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief of the UPDF, and the Chief of Defence Forces/SPA-SO, for elevating me to the unsuitable of Major Frequent. I pledge my unwavering commitment to conserving and defending Uganda, making sure peace and security for generations to come,” Maj Gen Damulira acknowledged.
Damulira has prolonged his appreciation to the leadership of the Uganda Police Pressure, Uganda Prisons Service, and the Intelligence Products and services for his or her precious toughen and coordination. “I salute all Ugandans, within the course of the public and inner most sectors, including the ghetto formative years and security stakeholders, for his or her contributions to hanging forward peace and security. President Yoweri Museveni, who is the Commander-in-Chief of all militia, transferred Bakasumba to South Sudan as Defence attaché and later appointed him UPDF’s Chief of Joint Group, whereas Damulira peaceable holds the same designation within the Police.
