Adjumani District Chairman’s Home Attacked By Unknown Assailants, Burn Two Vehicles
In the Adjumani Town Council, unidentified assailants attacked the home of Adjumani District Chairperson Ben Anyama and set two parked cars on fire.
Vehicles with the license plates UAJ 737X and UBL 652X were burned. The vehicle’s alarm system, according to the neighbors, alerted them to act and put out the fire using water and sand.
The assailants dumped a brown envelope with unknown contents before disappearing from the site. In a telephone chat, Adjumani resident district commissioner (RDC) Taban Peter Data stated that the chairman is secure and that the police had arrived at the area.
Investigations are still ongoing, according to Ignatius Dragudu, spokesman for the North West Nile Region police.
