Sudhir Reelected As Director Of Ugandan Indian Association

Corporate tycoon Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia was reelected to the Executive Board of the Uganda Indian Association.
Sudhir was reelected at a meeting at the organization’s offices in Kampala today.
The other members elected to the new board are: Munnangi Sita, Goutam Das, Dharmesh Patel, Ashwin Kumar Patel, Chacko Babu and Koduvayur Parasuraman.
The Ugandan Association of India founded in 1922 to promote unity and development.
One of their biggest achievements as stated on their website is “eradicating the Indophobia from the Ugandan African community.” As a result, over 27000 Indians living in Uganda with the peaceful life and both communities are socially and economically helping each other’s and working towards the development of Uganda.
It records that the Indians, who accounts for less than 1% of the Ugandan population, contributes 65% of the country’s tax revenues.
The association coordinates the charitable activities of members who give back to Ugandan society that their family lines have seen at their home for over 100 years.
Charities include scholarships, blood donations and free medical camps, to name a few.
