Kibuli’s Muslim Supreme Mufti Sheikh Kasule Ndirangwa Resigns

The Supreme Mufti Sheikh Siliman Kasule Ndirangwa has resigned from office with immediate effect. In his short speech, Ndirangwa cited that the fights at Kibuli Institution has fueled for his resignation.
He, however urges leaders who are set to take up his office to work towards the unity of the Muslim community that has been divided in factions in the recent past.
Ndirangwa’s resignation comes a few months after the death of Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata, the mouthpiece of the Kibuli faction.
Ndirangwa was appointed Supreme Mufti of the Muslim faction based in Kibuli on 16 December 2015, in place of Shiek Zubairi Kayongo who died in April 2014. He was assisted by Mahmoud Kibaate and Shaykh Habib Kabasa
