Seven Students Injured in Night Attack at Apac Seed Secondary School

Apac, Uganda — April 6, 2026 — Police in Apac District have launched investigations into a violent nighttime attack that left seven students of Apac Seed Secondary School injured.

According to preliminary reports, a group of unknown assailants armed with machetes and knives stormed the school under the cover of darkness and attacked students in their dormitories.

The motive behind the brutal assault remains unclear.

Authorities say the injured students sustained various cuts and wounds and were rushed to nearby health facilities for treatment.

Their conditions have not yet been officially disclosed, but sources indicate that some victims suffered serious injuries.

Security forces responded to the scene and have since intensified patrols in the area.

Police have also begun gathering statements from students, school staff, and nearby residents as part of ongoing investigations.

District officials have condemned the attack, describing it as “barbaric and deeply disturbing,” and have called for calm among parents and the wider community as security agencies work to identify and apprehend those responsible.
