Owobusobozi Bisaka Urges Believers To support President Museveni In The Coming Election

A wave of devotion and political endorsement swept through Kagadi District on July 2 as thousands of followers of the Faith of Unity gathered at the Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka International Stadium in Muhorro to celebrate the 39th annual Flower Day, also known as Children’s Day. The spiritual leader and founder of the movement, Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, used the occasion to not only emphasize the core values of hard work and unity but also to openly rally support for President Yoweri Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ahead of the next general election.
Addressing a sea of worshippers clad in ceremonial white and gold robes, Owobusobozi Bisaka delivered a message that blended spiritual guidance with civic responsibility. He called upon his followers to actively engage in government programs and back President Museveni’s leadership, crediting the NRM government for fostering the peace and stability that he believes has enabled the Faith of Unity to flourish and spread its teachings globally.
“If it were not for the peace brought about by President Museveni and his investigative leadership, we would not be able to gather here freely, or even spread the Faith to other parts of the world,” Owobusobozi Bisaka declared, his voice echoing through the vast open grounds. He encouraged believers to increase their efforts in participating in national development, saying that hard work was the surest path to prosperity and self-reliance.
The celebration began with a grand procession from the Faith of Unity’s Kapyemi Headquarters, with followers singing hymns and waving symbolic flowers as they made their way to the stadium in Kyalubayinga, Muhorro Subcounty. The atmosphere was festive yet deeply reverent, with chants and songs praising Owobusobozi Bisaka as both a spiritual healer and national guide.
One of the most notable moments of the day was the formal welcome of approximately 275 new converts from various religious backgrounds. Each was presented with the Book of God of the Age of Oneness and a Faith of Unity calendar—a uniquely structured guide that, according to the Faith, allows believers to maximize productivity by dedicating only three rest days per month: the 2nd, 12th, and 22nd. The remaining days are set aside for active work, both spiritual and economic.
“This calendar is not just a tool—it is a way of life,” Bisaka explained to the new members. “You must use your time wisely. Work is sacred, and through it, you will find both wealth and spiritual fulfillment.”
Flower Day holds a sacred place in the Faith of Unity’s history. It commemorates a miraculous event on July 2, 1986, when Owobusobozi Bisaka reportedly healed numerous women who had suffered from infertility, allegedly caused by satanic influences. According to church narratives, these women later bore children and, in an act of profound gratitude, paraded through the town of Muhorro with flowers and songs in celebration of their restored fertility. Since then, the date has been marked each year with similar fervor, drawing followers from across the country and the diaspora.
As the faithful departed from the stadium at the close of the day, many echoed the sentiment that Owobusobozi Bisaka’s guidance extended beyond spiritual realms into national purpose. His open endorsement of President Museveni is expected to bolster the NRM’s grassroots presence, particularly in Western Uganda, where the Faith of Unity commands a large and devoted following.
In a region where religious influence often intersects with political discourse, the voice of Owobusobozi Bisaka carries significant weight. His appeal to support President Museveni adds yet another layer to the unfolding political landscape as the country edges closer to its next election cycle. Whether viewed through a spiritual lens or a strategic political one, the message from Muhorro was clear—unity, diligence, and loyalty to the NRM remain at the heart of this faith-driven community.
