Tonta NRM United Voice Visits ONC Boss, Declares Readiness For 2026 Elections
A youthful team under the Tonta NRM United Voice pressure group, led by National Coordinator and CEO Nabasa Alex, paid a courtesy visit to the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Chief Muzzukulu, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, at the Office of the National Chairman in Kyambogo. The group commended Hajjat Namyalo for her consistency in mobilising the Bazzukulu and revitalising support for the National Resistance Movement at the grassroots.
Nabasa informed Hajjat Namyalo that the group is set to officially launch its activities next week on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, along Buganda Road in Kampala. He invited her to preside over the launch as Chief Guest, describing her as a figure whose leadership continues to inspire young people. “You have revived the spirit of the Bazzukulu and restored confidence in the NRM among the youth. We are honoured to have you as our Chief Guest,” Nabasa said.
He further clarified that Tonta NRM United Voice is an independent and structured youth mobilisation group under his leadership, distancing it from individuals allegedly using its name for personal benefit. “We wish to make it clear that Tonta NRM United Voice is under my leadership. Any other people claiming affiliation to our group are impersonators,” Nabasa asserted.
In response, Hajjat Namyalo welcomed the invitation and praised the team’s unity and commitment to the NRM’s ideology. She said the formation of organised youth movements such as Tonta NRM United Voice reflects the renewed spirit of mobilisation that will secure victory for President Museveni and the party in the 2026 general elections. She urged the youth to remain disciplined, focused, and truthful in their efforts to defend the party’s gains.
She warned against opportunistic individuals creating fake groups to mislead the public and divert resources meant for mobilisation, stressing that such imposters would be unmasked. “We are aware of self-seeking individuals who create fake groups to swindle mobilisation funds. They will be exposed before 2026 because the youth can now distinguish genuine cadres from pretenders,” she said.
During the meeting, the group’s spokesperson, Magezi Paul, led prayers for Hajjat Namyalo and the ONC Vote Protection Unit, asking for guidance and strength as preparations for the campaign season intensify. The group pledged to work closely with ONC to ensure effective grassroots mobilisation and protection of President Museveni’s votes across all regions.
The meeting concluded with renewed calls for loyalty, accountability, and unity among the Bazzukulu, signalling growing energy within the NRM’s youth mobilisation network ahead of the 2026 elections.
