Bebe Cool criticizes EPs as sign of laziness in music industry

Bebe Cool has labeled Extended Plays (EPs) as a sign of laziness among established musicians.

Speaking during an interview with NRG Radio, Bebe dismissed the growing trend of releasing EPs, claiming they lack depth and commitment.

EPs are just an excuse. That thing is new, it just came recently, it never existed before. I asked five years ago what an EP is, and they told me when you have four or five songs, you can call it an EP… that’s laziness.

While Bebe Cool acknowledged that EPs may serve a purpose for rising artists trying to break into the industry, he was firm in his belief that veteran artists should focus on full-length albums.

An EP is okay for upcoming artists, especially in today’s era. But for legendary artists, it should strictly be albums.
