Bebe Cool prioritizes self-driven progress for his son Allan in the music industry

Bebe Cool has opened up about why he hasn’t fully invested in the music career of his firstborn son, Allan Hendrix Ssali.

According to Bebe, while he’s provided the necessary tools and guidance, his support hinges on Allan’s willingness to adapt to the current music trends.

Allan, who has been leaning more towards reggae, seems to have chosen a different musical path from his father, who is known for Afrobeat, dancehall, and pop-infused tracks.

Bebe Cool believes this difference in style is part of the reason he’s held back from fully backing his son’s music journey.

If he accepts to do the trending music, I’ll invest in him. All the producers know that I got him and gave him that studio and told him to do this and that, but you know, you don’t tell a musician easily what to sing.

While acknowledging Allan’s freedom to follow his own passion, Bebe emphasised that he believes in self-driven progress.

I am not supposed to get him music; he’s supposed to work for himself. I’m supposed to pick him up from a journey knowing that he has brought himself on that journey. I don’t spoon-feed.
