Rajiv Ruparelia Legacy Van Set for Thursday Charity Drive to Gulu

A memorial charity drive linked to the late Rajiv Ruparelia was scheduled to travel to Gulu on Thursday, 8 October 2026, with the “Forever RR” legacy van forming part of activities honouring the rally driver. The programme combines remembrance with community outreach connected to the motorsport fraternity.

Rajiv, son of businessman Sudhir Ruparelia, died in a road crash in May 2025. His death prompted tributes from fellow motorsport participants and supporters, and the legacy initiative is intended to keep his name associated with rallying and support for young people.

The journey was linked to the second edition of a motorsport competition in Gulu. As part of the wider programme, the Ruparelia Foundation extended support to Luweero Girls Primary School, donating books, stationery, sanitary pads and sports equipment. The team also planted a memorial tree at the school.

The Luweero outreach and the drive to Gulu are related parts of the memorial programme but have different immediate purposes. The school visit focused on practical support for pupils, while the van journey and competition provide a public commemorative element for the motorsport community.

Organisers have presented the initiative as a way to carry forward Rajiv’s memory through activities that reach beyond the rally course. Support for education, girls’ welfare and sports participation gives the commemoration a community dimension.

Specific departure times, stops and route logistics should be confirmed with organisers if the story is being updated after the scheduled date. The drive was announced as a Thursday journey to Gulu, while the school donation was separately reported as part of the associated outreach.
