Just a week after the curtains closed on a triumphant Uganda Film Festival 2025, the Ugandan film industry has even more to celebrate. The prestigious Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) has officially announced its #ZIFF2025 selections, and Uganda is proudly on the list.

Representing the Pearl of Africa across multiple categories, these nominations highlight the growing excellence, creativity, and international appeal of Ugandan storytelling.

ZIFF 2025 will take place from 25th to 29th June in Zanzibar, and JANANI by Matt Bish is the film opening the festival.
