Kampala, Uganda: Victoria University Kampala has vowed full support for Ugandan gospel artist and preacher Pastor Wilson Bugembe, sponsoring his upcoming 20-Year Celebration Concert slated for August 8, 2025, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Dubbed “A Walk with Pr. Bugembe”, the concert is expected to celebrate the singer’s transformative journey from the streets to becoming a celebrated pastor and award-winning gospel artist. Bugembe is the senior pastor at Worship House Church in Nansana, Wakiso District.
“From the streets to saving souls, Pastor Wilson Bugembe has transformed millions through music and compassion. As Victoria University Kampala, we will proudly sponsor his 20-year concert on August 8, 2025. A true symbol of service and bold leadership,” the university stated in an official message.
Bugembe’s story is one of resilience and inspiration. Having once lived on the streets, he has risen to become a household name in gospel music, known for emotionally resonant songs and a ministry that connects deeply with the youth and urban poor.
He revealed that his decision to organize this milestone concert was inspired by fellow artist Spice Diana’s recent 10-year music celebration. “I looked back at my own journey and realized that 20 years of ministry and music deserve to be celebrated. It’s not just about me, but about the souls we’ve reached,” Bugembe said in a recent interview.
His upcoming concert at Serena is expected to be a blend of live performances, worship, testimonies, and moments of reflection from the gospel singer’s two-decade journey.
