Factory Worker’s Tragic Plunge: Body Recovered After 8 Days In Steel Factory’s Raw Material Production House
In a somber turn of events, the lifeless body of Amir Musobya, a 35-year-old factory worker, has been unearthed from the depths of a steel factory’s Ground Hopper Raw Material Production House, nearly a week and a half after his fatal plunge. The grim discovery unfolded when Musobya’s colleagues stumbled upon and identified his helmet, setting in motion the revelation of his tragic fate.
The unfortunate incident transpired on November 20, as Musobya met his untimely end within the industrial confines of Abyssinia Iron and Steel Uganda Ltd. Strikingly, his absence went unnoticed until November 28, when a sharp-eyed colleague recognized the ominous helmet, prompting the factory management to promptly alert Jinja Police.
James Mubi, the spokesperson for the Kiira Police region, recounted the swift response by law enforcement upon receiving the distressing report. The scene was meticulously documented, and the demise of Musobya was confirmed. Preliminary findings indicate that the victim was engrossed in his day-shift duties under supervision.
As the community of Jinja City South Division grapples with shock, Mubi disclosed that a postmortem examination is pending at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital, with investigations diligently underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
