UWA Deploys Drones To Monitor Queen Elizabeth Nation Park

The Uganda Wildlife Authority has introduced the use of drone cameras to monitor activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park and game reserves.

Eight drones have been deployed to provide timely information to the authority, enabling swift responses to any inconvenience faced by both locals and visitors.

These drones are part of the new safety measures implemented since the unfortunate incident involving suspected rebels attacking tourists in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

There has been a noticeable increase in the number of domestic and foreign tourists visiting the park since the incident occurred.

Csilla Saxer, a Switzerland resident and tourist, expressed her satisfaction with the enhanced security measures and technology deployment, enabling a safer and more enjoyable experience for tourists.

Security remains strengthened in Kasese district and Bwera, with multiple meetings conducted to enhance public vigilance.
