Nakasongola Pastor Dies While Performing Miracles
The sudden death of a Pentecostal preacher in Wanjuki village, Lwabyata subcounty, Nakasongola, is being investigated by police in the district. The pastor was performing miracles when he passed away.
The incident occurred on Tuesday about 9 p.m., and the dead has been named as Pastor Daniel Naheirwe, 40, of Rwandese descent.
According to early police reports, on October 24, Pastor Daniel visited the Wanjuki Village house of Jesca Kyohairwe to pray for her and cast out witchcraft.
He prayed and removed the so-called “Mayembe” witchcraft in the area as part of his miracles. Later, he used fire to burn the herbs and the supposed witchcraft, but he tragically passed away instantly while doing so, according to the authorities.
The regional police spokesperson, Sam Twineamazima, stated that the deceased pastor traveled to Nakasongola and made the claim that he had supernatural abilities to drive bad spirits out of people’s homes and had been doing so for a long time.
Although he claimed to have been trusted by the villagers to pray for them, he eventually passed away while purportedly working miracles.
Locals notified police after he passed away, and they arrived right away. A sudden death case was reported, and the murder scene was inspected and recorded.
In order to conduct a postmortem examination, the body was transported to Nakasongola Health Center IV as police searched for his relatives.
