IGG Kabale Region Arrests 6 Officials

The Kabale Regional Inspectorate of Government (IGG) officials have arrested six Rubanda District Government officials over allegedly embezzling UGX 107 million meant for the implementation of district development programmes.

The IGG enforcement team led by Ms Noeline Nsungwa raided the Rubanda District Headquarters on Monday morning and arrested the six civil servants over  allegedly UGX 107,688,900 million.

Ms Nsungwa noted that the suspects have been transferred to the capital, Kampala where they are expected to appear before the Anti-Corruption Court to answer the charges.

Those arrested include Benon Kahangi, the District Production Officer,

Stephen Buregyeya – Senior Treasurer,

Sixtus Ahabwe – Assistant Veterinary Officer,

Owen Atuhaire – Assistant Inventory Management Officer,

Pamela Musimenta – Assistant Agriculture Officer,

Kwizera Wilson – Assistant Agriculture Officer and Nicholas Karuhanga the Director Hummer Consults Co. Ltd.
