Frank Gashumba Commends President Museveni For Promoting Patriotism Among Ugandan Youth

Kampala: In a historic event at Kololo Independence Grounds, President Yoweri Museveni invited the MK Movement to celebrate the graduation of over 45,000 students from various secondary schools in Kampala who had completed a groundbreaking patriotism course. Renowned activist and vice chair person MK Movement in Buganda Region, Frank Gashumba, expressed gratitude towards President Museveni for his commitment to instilling a sense of patriotism in the country’s youth.

Gashumba, a prominent voice for youth empowerment and social change, acknowledged the importance of fostering love for the country from an early age. “No matter the disagreements in the country, it is crucial that children, from day one, learn to love their country,” Gashumba emphasized. He commended President Museveni for taking the initiative to guide the youth in the right direction and for appointing a capable leader to oversee the patriots in Uganda.

“I am happy that President Museveni is coming up with another initiative that puts the children on the path of normalcy,” Gashumba stated. He went on to applaud the decision to appoint a female leader to head the patriots in Uganda, highlighting the importance of choosing someone who resonates with the youth.

Gashumba stressed the significance of a leader who can connect with the younger generation, saying, “It is very important to choose someone who resonates with the youths.” He expressed optimism that this approach would not only foster patriotism but also bridge the generation gap, ensuring that the youth actively participate in shaping the future of Uganda.

The graduation ceremony marked a milestone in the nation’s efforts to cultivate a strong sense of patriotism among its youth. The MK Movement, known for its commitment to social change and community development, played a pivotal role in the success of the patriotism course. The movement’s involvement underscored the collaborative spirit needed to address the challenges facing Ugandan youth today.
