Opinion: Why Bazzukulu ‘Say No’ To Forceful Transition And Trash It To The Nearest Bin
By Moses Kintu
John Maxwell guides that a man should never retire from his calling. The holy scriptures inform mankind that God created us to have dominion over this beautiful world He created but every mankind has a special calling. In Titus 1:5 “The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.” –Saint Paul wrote to Titus. If you continue down to verse 12 of Titus, one of the prophets in Crete said that Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, and lazy gluttons.
The Ugandans of today who have robbed their own country without paying taxes while others accumulate wealth out of corruption, have no difference from the people of Crete. Amazing how even elders above the age of 50 years boldly lair to the Bazzukulu that President Museveni has done nothing towards the growth and development of Uganda. These are elders who saw what happened before the NRM and the big achievements under the NRM.
Jajja has reiterated about the questions they asked themselves as a student Movement and identified the three problems of Africa; Lack of Prosperity, Lack of strategic security; and failure to use the clear brotherhood of the African people. On answering the above questions rightly; Democracy, Pan-Africanism, socioeconomic transformation and Patriotism (NRM principles), formed a clear diagnosis of the diseases, Uganda, East Africa and Africa suffered for decades minus cures or even attempts to solve the challenges then.
With a few years of total stability across the country, the National Resistance Movement under the leadership of H.E Museveni, Uganda’s GDP of 5 billion by 1986 has ballooned to USD 50 billion with a thriving democracy that has expanded beyond Ugandan borders. Nonetheless, due to generation shifts, the millennials and Gen Z that did not face the hell of the six killer immunizable diseases, internal conflicts have fallen prey to the political alligators running on stem engines of the enemies of Africa both in black and white skin with certain states mandating themselves to police the entire world and determines what is ethical and non-ethical. There is an emerging wave of new challenges mostly corruption which Jajja has assured Bazzukulu to being a walkover war if we listen to his guidance.
Recently while addressing to Parliament of Uganda during the regional sitting in Gulu, he (H.E Museveni) explained how the greedy UPDF officers embezzled funds meant to pay the local defence units in Karamoja resulting in the cattle wrestling that has not only claimed lives and property but also caused the migration of the natives in Karamoja sub-region in such for the safety of their lives. Those in the diaspora on their return home less believe the coruscating road and electricity infrastructure in Uganda. The revolutionary Jajja shocked the World during the International Development Association (IDA) Africa Heads of State Summit in Nairobi Kenya, when he appealed to the World Bank to support Africa with prosperity rather than profiteering.
Jajja H.E Museveni’s cup of wisdom sipped from by the world is more than needed by the Bazzukulu in Uganda, East Africa and Africa NOW. Drawing your mind to the identified problems in Africa, the lack of ideology has availed stage for the revival of politics of identity especially by tribe, Of course, my elder brother Robert Kyagulanyi’s hate speech and disinformation to the Europeans by his political group of the National Unity Platform (NUP) express clearly this narrative.
In the non-normal/scientific Covid-19 elections, the Muzee (Museveni) chose to teach his opponents the danger of identity politics and gracefully the voters listened to his message by voting for him as their preferred choice with over six million votes (6 m) votes in the 2021 general elections.
The political hyenas in and outside government, thinking that Jajja’s gift of age with a recent celebration of eighty (80) years of grace, would make him unpopular to Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu, launched agitations for groups to pressure a transition. The shameless fellows, with knowledge about the constitutional guidance on transitions through an election (free and fair), continue to fill social media with unnecessary demands while others stage demonstrations in Europe and USA streets to force transition.
The Bazzukulu under their front liner Senior Presidential Advisor-Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye managing the Office of the National Chairman for NRM (ONC) took decision last on week to speak out against the transition calls with a campaign launch branded SAY NO TO A FORCEFUL TRANSITION and cursing it strongly with a summarized a hashtag NyokoTransition. For the benefit of the reader, the African people curse misfortunes or occurrences undesirable at a material time or even abominable in society. For example; to curse death, they can state Nyoko death.
Those Bazzakulu under Hajjat Namyalo in reference to the earlier stated scriptures in the book of Titus, believe that President Museveni has work unfinished and therefore must continue serving his godly duty of leading Uganda as their Head of State. Adding on the yearly prayers organized to thank God for their Jajja Museveni’s life, they have convinced Ugandans that President Museveni is still fit for leadership under their project TOVA KU MAIN 2026 & Beyond.
Ugandans like some other Africans, have been trapped in the neo-colonial thinking that dictatorship is an abuse and being swayed away from appreciation of their authority and power to determining their leaders through a free and fair election every after five (5) years.
The framers of the constitution thought it wise to answer the seemingly disturbing question to cowardly politicians by mandating an every after five (5) years general elections for Ugandans to make choice of their preferred leader. The Bazzukulu Movement is using peaceful channels to advocate to Ugandans to continue voting for H.E Y. K Museveni in the nearing 2026 election.
However, in reference to the mass vote rigging in the past election against the NRM Presidential candidate, the Bazzukulu vow to protect their Jajja’s vote at all costs to propel forward the godly leadership. Jajja’s re-election to power is answering the Lord’s call for him to manage the unfinished business and surely will lead Uganda to an upper-middle-income economy & beyond.
The Bazzukulu plea to all Ugandans to SAY NO TO A FORECFUL TRANSITION, curse it with by boldly saying; #NyokoTransition, and continue spreading Jajja’s message of Wealth Creation to elevate the 39% of Ugandans trapped in the hell of poverty.
