A 10-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Rapped
The aggravated defilement and killing of a 10-year-old child by an unnamed person is being investigated by police in Kyankwanzi district.
The deceased was defiled on February 10 at around 7 p.m., according to Rachael Kawala, the Wamala Region police public relations officer.
According to Kawala, the former primary three student at Bambala Primary School came home from school before going to the next trading center to buy sugarcane, where she stayed for a while at her uncle’s property.
On her way home, she allegedly met an anonymous motorcycle who convinced her that her mother had instructed him to accompany her to the Muwangi–Ntwetwe road garden to pick a bundle of bananas.
The girl was rushed and admitted to Ntwetwe health centre IV where she died on Saturday, February 12. Kawala says that they have started hunting for the suspect and advised parents to always take extra care of their children.
