Videos: EC Officials Stuck As Alleged Ballot Stuffing Seen Before Voting Time
The long-awaited Kayunga district LC5 by-election began this morning, with voters lining up as early as 6:30 a.m.
However, there have been reports of alleged irregularities being caught on camera.
One of the videos circulated on social media purports to show alleged ballot stuffing at the Namavundu Church polling station.
According to the voices in the video, polling agents affiliated with the National Unity Platform (NUP) party are heard questioning Electoral Commission agents about why ballots are already in the ballot box at 6:30 a.m., despite the fact that voting is supposed to begin at 7:00 a.m.
Meanwhile, Harriet Nakwedde of the NUP and Andrew Muwonge of the NRM are expected to face off in the Kayunga by-election.
