Spice Diana credits Dauda Kavuma for jumpstarting her music career

Spice Diana has opened up about the humble beginnings of her music journey, crediting Dauda Kavuma, the manager of the Triplets Ghetto Kids, for jumpstarting her career.
Spice Diana recalled how her connection with the Ghetto Kids began shortly after her Senior 4 vacation.
At the time, she would travel from her home in Nankulabye to Makindye just to witness the dance group in action.

I heard about the Ghetto Kids around my Senior 4 vac and started coming from Nankulabye to Makindye to see them and how they do it. That’s how I met Dauda, their manager.
Although she never danced with the Ghetto Kids, Spice Diana says she was drawn to their energy and art.
Her admiration and regular presence eventually led to Dauda taking her to a music studio for the very first time, where she recorded her debut song.
I didn’t participate in their dance group but was just around them because I loved what they were doing.
People in art don’t exactly know what they want until they try out different things. You’ll either find yourself in acting, dancing, MDD… I tried all these things including acting and I even went to the Ebonies auditions but I wasn’t selected as an artist there.
Despite the setbacks, it was through the mentorship and support of Dauda Kavuma that she recorded her first song, “Nze Akwagala”, and that was the beginning of her now successful career.
