Bugweri District in Busoga region, Eastern Uganda, witnessed an outpouring of enthusiasm as thousands took to the streets to welcome Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), who embarked on an empowering mission for the bazzukulu (grandchildren). The visit served as a prelude to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) 43rd Tarehe Sita celebrations scheduled for the following day.
The vibrant event saw Namyalo addressing a crowd of eager bazzukulu, who had seemingly been eagerly anticipating her empowerment initiative. Urging the people of Bugweri to embrace a politics of development over division, Namyalo emphasized the importance of peace and stability brought about by President Yoweri Museveni since 1986.
“Opposition comes here and confuses you that Jajja is no longer capable, forgetting that all the good sleep you enjoy at night with your wives is because of peace and stability that was brought by him in 1986,” Namyalo passionately asserted. She lauded Museveni for creating a strong and disciplined force, urging the crowd to dismiss any misinformation.
During the event, Namyalo highlighted her nationwide efforts in delivering empowerment tools to various communities. She emphasized the overwhelming support for Museveni’s potential return in 2026, dismissing any notions of a capable leader retiring. “Museveni wants you economically empowered so that you can chase away those selfish politicians who normally come with sacks of salt to confuse you during elections,” she declared.
Namyalo proceeded to distribute a range of empowerment tools, including sprayers, hoes, dryers, hair cutting machines, sewing machines, welding machines, popcorn machines, chapati making machines, and more. Recipients expressed gratitude, viewing the donations as an answered prayer to enhance their livelihoods.
“For long I have been hearing about this thing of Museveni, that through Namyalo, he donates empowerment tools. Now, last evening when my son told me that Namyalo was visiting us at Buseesa playground, I knew those who will be around will get something, and here I have my hoe and my sprayer,” exclaimed Bagema John, a jubilant beneficiary and farmer.
Namyalo assured the public that Museveni’s office would persist in empowering bazzukulu across all districts, aiming for economic stability throughout the entire country. The event stands as a testament to the ongoing efforts to uplift communities and foster grassroots development under the guidance of President Museveni
