In a spirited effort to alleviate poverty and rally support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the dynamic manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, has electrified the residents of Nabitende Sub County in Iganga district. At the heart of her visit was the launch of the Bazzukulu Liberation Cup, accompanied by a generous distribution of empowerment tools and essential goods.
Chief Muzzukulu, as she is affectionately known, received a warm welcome at the Nabitende playground, where community leaders pledged unwavering support for her initiatives in ensuring the continued leadership of President Museveni.
Hajji Abubaker Walubi, the NRM chairman in Iganga District, expressed gratitude for Namyalo’s dedication and energy in supporting the bazzukulu across the country. He vowed full support, anticipating President Museveni’s victory in the 2026 elections.
Addressing the gathering, Hajjat Namyalo cautioned against disparaging the ruling government, emphasizing President Museveni’s vision for a bright future. She highlighted the global trust bestowed upon him with the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
Namyalo then distributed empowerment tools to various groups, including the Nabitende Development Association, officially launched with a Ugx 1 million cash booster. The tools ranged from hoes and sprayers to salon equipment and popcorn machines, with promises of welding and car washing machines in the future.
Expressing her commitment to youth development, Namyalo handed out hundreds of kilograms of maize flour to feed the young bazzukulu left at home. Later in the day, she rushed to Bugembe stadium in Jinja City, launching the Bazzukulu Liberation Cup ahead of the NRM’s Liberation Day celebrations on January 26th.
At the event, Namyalo cautioned the youth against destructive habits, particularly alcoholism, urging them to engage in sports to promote talent and physical fitness. She emphasized President Museveni’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle and distributed footballs and jerseys to various teams, accompanied by the national coordinator for games and sports, Mr. Seth Murari. The day was marked not only by empowerment but also by a vision for a prosperous and active community, echoing President Museveni’s desire for a thriving nation.
