In a remarkable display of philanthropy, the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) has embarked on a significant empowerment initiative in Mbale, providing bazzukulu with invaluable tools to kickstart their journey towards economic independence.

The announcement came during a fundraising event at Nakaloke Playground in Mbale City, organized for the construction of the Nakaloke Mosque. Dr. Nakimuli Mariam, ONC’s office admin, conveyed the exciting news on behalf of Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the head of ONC, stating that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, through ONC, is extending substantial support to empower the youth, women, and various bazzukulu groups in Mbale.

“The President, our beloved grandfather ‘Jajja,’ has deemed this mosque as a haven for his bazzukulu, and through the tireless efforts of Chief Muzzukulu Hajjat Namyalo, he has decided to provide support in the form of empowerment tools. The aim is to help you initiate self-sustaining businesses and eradicate poverty from your families,” remarked Dr. Nakimuli.

Highlighting that ONC’s ongoing empowerment drive has already left numerous beneficiaries economically equipped across the country, Dr. Nakimuli urged all recipients to utilize the provided tools effectively, ensuring the successful realization of the program’s objectives.

The assortment of tools donated includes sewing machines, welding machines, spraying machines, chips frying machines, g.nuts machines, and agricultural inputs, among others. Hajjat Namyalo’s extensive efforts in 2023 have spanned various districts, resulting in empowered bazzukulu who are already experiencing economic success through the practical use of the donated tools.

As the bazzukulu in Mbale express their gratitude, this initiative stands as a testament to ONC’s commitment to fostering sustainable development and uplifting communities nationwide. The positive impact is not only measured in tools but in the transformed lives of individuals now equipped to forge a brighter and more prosperous future.
