How Victoria University Rugby Team Showed Expertise At Varsity Rugby 7s To Win The Competitions

In a demonstration of great talent and tenacity, Victoria University (VU) demonstrated their rugby expertise at the Varsity Rugby 7s competition, which was hosted by Kyambogo University on September 9.

The VU Rugby team dismantled prestigious rivals including Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Nkumba University, ISBAT University, MUBS, UCU, and UMU, leaving no space for debate.

They gave an absolutely brilliant performance that had the audience in awe of their deft coordination and clever moves.


VU proved their superiority in a succession of thrilling games, outclassing their competitors with a combination of speed, agility, and tactical skill. John Kato, the team captain, set a great example by directing flawless plays and exhibiting admirable sportsmanship.

With so many VU supporters present, the atmosphere was brimming with enthusiasm and pride. The team was inspired to greater heights by the loud cheers that resounded throughout the stadium.

The loud cheers that greeted each try and conversion fueled the VU players’ tenacity even more.

The celebration that followed the final whistle, which announced VU’s victory, was nothing short of joyful. The players, coaches, and fans all celebrated this well-earned triumph, which was the result of their efforts and commitment.

In addition to VU’s great achievement, the Varsity Rugby 7s competition will be remembered for the unwavering spirit shown by all competing teams. It was an excellent demonstration of the skill and enthusiasm that characterize the university rugby scene.

In the sport of rugby, Victoria University won the Kyambogo University-hosted Rugby 7s competition after turning up a commanding performance that brought the other universities to their knees. I am so proud of the squad, Muganga tweeted.

The Varsity 7s series has grown into a key event in university athletics in Uganda, attracting participation from a formidable ten universities.

This competition, which has been cleverly divided into four thrilling circuits, paints a picture of the raw skill and unflappable enthusiasm that run through these aspiring rugby warriors.
