Come In Big Numbers: ONC Boss Hajjat Namyalo Urges Bazzukulu To Flood Kololo On Museveni’s 79th Birthday
By Gad Masereka
Hajjat Uzeiye Hadijah Namyalo, the head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), given an update on the preparations for the upcoming Katonga Spirits event, which will take place on September 8, 2023.
The biggest party of the year will take place on September 8, 2023, according to the chief muzzukulu, who made the announcement while speaking to the media at Kololo ceremonial grounds. So far, top officials from the government, security organizations, and the State House have confirmed their attendance.
All the women’s groups, youth organizations, and organizations for people with disabilities, among others, were persuaded by Namyalo to attend the celebration with their beloved President on that particular day.
She pointed out, however, that in addition to celebrating, there will be other important activities like watching revolutionary movies, attending exhibitions by bazzukulu who are successful entrepreneurs, hearing testimonies about Jajja and other significant historical figures, broadcasting and viewing documentaries about Jajja and his struggle, attending cultural performances, musical galas from across the nation, and cleaning Kampala’s streets as part of pre-event mobilization.
Namyalo stated that ONC and all the major political movements are organizing the event; revolutionary guards and members of the MK movement will all be present to celebrate with President Museveni and those who fought and prevailed in the Katonga battle, bringing peace to Uganda that has allowed Ugandans to sleep soundly for the past three decades.
Nothing can stop this event, and I want to reassure you that a sizable number—whose size I can’t estimate—is already preparing to shake this Kololo on D-Day. Namyalo rallied the wanainchi, saying, “Therefore, I use this opportunity to ask all bazzukulu, children of the veterans, and historians to come and enjoy good vibes with their president on September 8, 2023. When asked why they chose to concentrate on Katonga over the other battles, Namyalo explained that Katonga holds a special significance because it was the site of a bloody battle that would not have been won had it not been for the magical leadership of Gen. Salim Saleh and his fearless soldiers.
“We have been paying close attention to the Luwero and Kabamba fights for a very long time. However, even those from Luwero will join us on September 8 to commemorate their leaders and other historical figures who perished fighting to put Uganda on the world index of peaceful nations. “Now that many people are unaware of what happened during the Katonga battle, that is why we came up with this because people who fought that battle also matter,” added Namyalo.
