SFC Speaks Out on the Illusion Bar and Lounge Shooting Video Amidst Confusion

A viral video circulating on social media captures two unidentified armed men, each wielding pistols, targeting two individuals at the entrance of a bar. The assailants, dressed in plain clothes, approach the gentlemen, firing at close range and moving even closer to ensure their targets are incapacitated.

The video has received public attention, with some social media users suggesting it is Illusion Bar and Lounge in Kampala. However, our investigation reveals that there is no establishment called ‘Illusion Bar and Lounge’ in Kampala; instead, there is Illusion located at Acacia Mall in the capital city of Kampala.

The Kampala Journal on X, among others, has alleged that the attack was carried out by Uganda’s elite Special Forces Command officers, sparking public disorder.

Contrary to these claims, the Special Forces Command Spokesperson, Jimmy Omara, clarifies that the video is baseless and false, and those involved are not affiliated with the Special Forces Command.

This website cautions the public against spreading unverified information that could lead to unnecessary panic. Baseless allegations tarnish the image of security forces and should be handled with care.
