BREAKING: Vybz Kartel Denies East African Tour Rumours

Jamaican dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel has refuted reports suggesting he will embark on an East African tour in May 2026, warning fans and promoters against engaging with unauthorized organizers.

In a statement posted on his verified social media accounts, Kartel real name Adidja Palmer said neither he nor his management team has any knowledge of or involvement in the alleged tour.

“It has come to my attention that a post is circulating claiming that I will be embarking on an East African tour in May 2026.

Let me be absolutely clear: neither my management nor I have any knowledge of, or involvement in, any such tour,” Kartel said.

He stressed that no East African shows have been officially announced or confirmed and called on fans, venues, and promoters to be cautious of misleading advertisements.

“Any individuals, promoters, or platforms claiming to be booking or advertising these shows are acting without authorization and are misleading the public.

Fans and venues are strongly advised not to engage with or send money to anyone making such claims, as these may be scams,” he added.Kartel clarified that all official announcements regarding his performances will only come through his verified platforms or authorized representatives.

He named his manager, Linton T.J. White, and his attorney, Jason Mitchell, as the only people authorized to speak on his behalf.

“Anyone falsely using my name to promote unauthorized events will be dealt with accordingly,” the statement warned.

The announcement comes after online posts claiming the dancehall icon would perform across East Africa created excitement among fans.

With the clarification, Kartel has firmly distanced himself from the alleged tour and urged the public to stay alert to potential scams.
