Uganda to host Pearl of Africa T20 Cricket Series

Uganda, UAE, Namibia (A), Kuwait, and Kenya will compete with matches running from July 18-27

KAMPALA, UGANDA Xinhua | The Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) has announced that 5 worldwide locations will steal fragment within the inaugural Pearl of Africa T20 Cricket Series.

The match slated for July 16-28 will steal arrangement at the Entebbe Cricket Oval in Entebbe, a city 35 kilometers from the capital Kampala.

“We are cheerful to be hosting this match which is a precursor for the T20 Cricket World Cup qualifiers to steal arrangement in Uganda in September this 12 months,” acknowledged Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) Chairman, Jackson Kavuma when speaking to the press Wednesday in Kampala.

Besides hosts Uganda, the collaborating countries also contain Kenya, Namibia (A), United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

Adonia Waibale, the chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, acknowledged that the match ingredients a single spherical-robin structure, followed by playoff matches and the final. “This match can be the open of an annual match to entice high teams from the gap and past,” added Waibal.

All matches, rather than those moving Namibia (A), will carry legitimate T20 Global (T20) fame, offering precious positive aspects and skills to collaborating worldwide locations.

The Uganda Cricket Association chairman Kavuma also welcomed Kuwait’s involvement, noting that its upward push in T20 Cricket is thanks to the continuous efforts it retains putting in.

The advertising and marketing campaign will open on July 18th with host Uganda going thru Kenya, while Namibia A takes on the UAE within the 2nd match on the identical day. ■
