Uganda’s Facilities Inspection For AFCON 2027 Bid Climaxed With CAF Team Visiting Various Locations

The delegation from CAF has visited various locations on Saturday inspecting Uganda’s facilities highlighted in the East Africa PAMOJA bid to successfully host AFCON 2027 reached a culmination.
East Africa aspires to host the prestigious Africa Cup of Nations competition in 2027, and work is being done to make this goal a reality.
The PwC team working for the CAF continued the inspection exercise as it had on the first day (Friday), and later that day they left for Tanzania.
St. Mary’s Stadium-Kitende was the first stop on the exercise before moving on to Denver Goodwin Stadium and then Entebbe International Airport.
First up for inspection on Friday was the currently under construction Mandela National Stadium. From there, the team travelled to the Nakivubo Memorial Stadium, Kampala International School Uganda (KISU), and Kampala Serena Hotel before wrapping up the first day with a meeting between FUFA and the stadium developers.
