Court Charge PMM Girls School ‘Lesbian’ Deputy Headteacher & Her Lover
The deputy headteacher of PMM Girls School, Lydia Mukoda, and Martha Naigaga, who is allegedly her lesbian girlfriend, are facing charges of gross indecency and procuring gross indecency in court.
The two accused lovers showed up in front of Yafesi Ochieng, a Jinja grade one magistrate, on Tuesday but chose not to enter a plea.
Because to the absence of the state’s attorneys for both the prosecution and defense, Ochieng remanded the accused individuals to Kirinya prisons until March 14. The two were detained earlier this week on suspicion of participating in lesbianism.
According to reports, Mukoda, also known as “Elly Ogwang,” engaged in lesbian activities with Naigaga and other people who are still at large in violation of section 148 of the penal code act.
According to the law, anyone who “commits acts of gross indecency with another, whether in public or private, procures another to commit an act of gross indecency with him or her, or attempts to procure the commission of any such act by any person, whether with himself or herself or with another person, whether in public or private, commits the offense and is subject to imprisonment for seven years”
After parents and former students of PMM Girls School stormed the school last week to protest Mukoda, accusing her of recruiting children into lesbianism, Mukoda was detained. Immediately after her arrest, police detained her suspected female companion, Naigaga, a Walukuba timber dealer who allegedly accused her of deserting her for younger schoolgirls.
According to Naigaga, they had been together for five years and have led tranquil lives in Walukuba up until last year, when she learned that Mukoda had been indulging in lesbian activities with schoolgirls.
This led a team of detectives to travel to three lodges in Jinja district’s Buwenge Town Council, where Mukoda was allegedly having lesbian relationships with schoolgirls and other women from various backgrounds.
A number of lodge owners who talked to URN under the condition of anonymity before the police raid claimed that they knew Mukoda as “Mr Elly Ogwang,” a well-known male client, and that they were all shocked to see her for the first time wearing a skirt.
Other former students commented on the PMM Girl’s School Student Association Facebook page that they are not surprised by the lesbian charges because they have known some students, notably Kenyan ones, who have been involved in the actions for years. Also, they claimed that Mukoda, who teaches business and commerce, moves and acts like a guy.
