Soroti, Uganda – On Friday, a site visit was conducted at Otatai Health Centre III to assess the progress of ongoing construction work aimed at enhancing healthcare services in the region. The visit was led by Soroti City RCC Peter Pex Paam, who reported that the project is on schedule and nearing completion.

During the inspection, a recommendation was made to erect a wall between the maternity ward and staff quarters to enhance privacy and security for patients and healthcare workers. This addition is expected to improve the overall quality of care provided at the facility.

The visit was part of ongoing efforts to monitor government projects in the region, led by Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Peter Pex Paak. The RCC’s office is responsible for ensuring that government-funded projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

The construction work at Otatai Health Centre III is part of a broader initiative to upgrade healthcare infrastructure in the region. The project includes the renovation of existing facilities, as well as the construction of new buildings and amenities.

Once completed, the upgraded health centre is expected to provide improved healthcare services to residents, including enhanced maternity care, expanded outpatient services, and improved diagnostic capabilities.

The local community has welcomed the project, citing the need for better healthcare services in the area. “We are thrilled to see the progress being made at Otatai Health Centre III,” said one resident. “The upgraded facility will make a huge difference in the lives of our people.”

With the project on track, residents can look forward to enhanced healthcare facilities and services in the near future.
