Police Identify Suspected Sponsor In Killing Of Ndiga Clan Head; Offers 10M Bounty For Information On His Whereabouts
In a significant development, the police have disclosed the identity of the man suspected of orchestrating the assassination of Ndiga clan head, Daniel Bbosa, a week ago.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, Police spokesperson Fred Enanga revealed that Lujja Bbosa Tabula is the individual believed to have hired the hitmen responsible for Bbosa’s murder.
“We have identified Lujja Bbosa Tabula as the mastermind who participated in hiring and sourcing the gun,” stated Enanga during the press briefing.
A bounty of Shs10 million has been placed by the police on anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of Tabula, who is currently on the run. The 38-year-old suspect hails from Kabango village, Kakola parish, Mutuba Gumu sub-county in Mpigi district.
Daniel Bbosa, aged 72 and also the director of Transa Electrical, was fatally shot on February 25 as he approached his residence in Kikandwa Zone, Lungujja Parish, Lubaga Division, at around 6 pm.
Fred Enanga further disclosed that seven suspects have been apprehended thus far, including Noah Lujja, who is currently hospitalized after being assaulted by a mob, and Milly Naluwenda, a clerk in a Buganda traditional court. However, the hunt for other suspects who remain at large is ongoing.
Eng. Dan Bbosa was laid to rest on Sunday in Mpigi, marking the end of a tumultuous chapter for the Ndiga clan and underscoring the urgent need for justice in this heinous crime.
