A chilling incident has shaken the community of Omitoto in Osun State as Pastor Moris Fadehan, head of the Celestial Church of Christ at Grace of Comfort Parish, was brutally murdered inside his own church by one of his assistants, Lekan Ogundipe.

According to reports, the horrifying discovery of Pastor Fadehan’s partly burnt remains inside the church was made by Ogundipe himself, who then fled to the residence of the church’s founder to report a fire. However, suspicions arose when bloodstains were noticed on Ogundipe’s clothing by a concerned resident upon arrival at the scene.

The sequence of events leading to the heinous crime remains unclear, although sources suggest tensions between Ogundipe and Pastor Fadehan escalated after the pastor retrieved church keys from the suspect. This action reportedly followed an altercation where Ogundipe assaulted a prophetess, sparking conflicts within the church.

Eyewitnesses recount the tragic moment when Pastor Fadehan was attacked while in prayer at the altar, with Ogundipe allegedly wielding a screwdriver, resulting in fatal injuries. In a bid to cover his tracks, Ogundipe purportedly set fire to the pastor’s body near a generator.

Police swiftly responded to the scene and apprehended Ogundipe, who was found at the church premises. Yemisi Opalola, Public Relations Officer for the Osun Police Command, confirmed the incident, revealing that the suspect is currently in custody, and investigations are underway.

The untimely demise of Pastor Fadehan has left the community in shock and mourning, emphasizing the urgent need for justice to be served in this appalling act of violence committed within the sanctity of a place of worship.
