General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, urges law enforcement agencies to swiftly investigate and bring to justice the assailants who attempted to end Bugingo’s life. He confirms that Bugingo is well after speaking to him, revealing that he sustained slight injuries on his left shoulder. Muhoozi questions whether the attackers are linked to ADF or some other shadowy group, demanding answers from authorities. He points out that this is the second attack on their supporters in the last eight months, and no offender has been brought to justice yet, citing the unresolved case of the cold-blooded murder of Isma Olaxess.

Pastor Bugingo’s Bodyguard Shot Dead; Bugingo Escapes with Injuries

The bodyguard to Pastor Bugingo of the House of Prayer Ministry has succumbed to bullet wounds. It is alleged that on January 2, 2024, at 9 PM, unidentified assailants opened fire on a vehicle carrying Pastor Bugingo, registered as PRAIZ GOD, along Namungona, Zone 2, Kasubi Rubaga Division, Kampala, at Bwalakata Junction along National Housing Road, before swiftly escaping the scene on a motorcycle.

Pastor Bugingo sustained injuries during the attack, managed to transport the vehicle to Mulago Hospital, where his bodyguard was confirmed dead upon arrival. Pastor Bugingo is undergoing medical treatment and is under close monitoring.

The police have discovered that the scene had been tampered with, although statements from eyewitnesses have been recorded. The deceased’s body has been conveyed to the City Mortuary at Mulago for a postmortem.The Old Kampala Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the assailants.
