By Gad Masereka
Kampala Parents School was buzzing with excitement as parents and teachers gathered to celebrate a special event – the dedication prayers for their Primary Seven candidates. It was a day filled with hope, faith, and anticipation as the students prepared to take the important Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
The school courtyard was beautifully decorated with colorful banners and flowers, creating a festive atmosphere. Parents arrived early, proudly clutching their children’s hands and carrying bouquets of flowers and well-wishing cards. They were eager to show their support and offer prayers for their young scholars.
The event began with a heartwarming speech from the school’s Principal, Mrs. Kato Daphine, who emphasized the importance of both academic excellence and spiritual guidance. She encouraged the students to stay focused, work hard, and remain steadfast in their studies.
The prayers were full of inspirational words that emphasized the significance of faith and perseverance in the face of challenges, reassuring the students that they had the support of their families, teachers, and the Almighty as they embarked on this crucial phase of their education.
As the sun shone brightly overhead, students and parents joined in hymns, sang songs of hope, and prayed for success and guidance. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of unity and optimism, as everyone present recognized the significance of this milestone in the students’ lives.
After the prayers, the parents took turns expressing their love, pride, and encouragement to their children. They shared heartfelt messages and presented small tokens of appreciation to their teachers for their dedication and hard work.
The dedication prayers not only served as a spiritual foundation for the P7 candidates but also as a reminder of the unwavering support and love they had from their families and school community. As the event concluded, the students left with a renewed sense of purpose and determination, ready to face the upcoming examinations with confidence, knowing they had the blessings and well-wishes of their loved ones to carry them forward.
