Three prison wardens from Rwimi Government Prison have been apprehended to aid investigations into the demise of Mr. Sunday Mulibondo, a 40-year-old inmate at Rwimi Prison Farm in Bunyangabu District.

These same arrests are expected to assist in probing the circumstances surrounding the injuries sustained by five additional individuals, allegedly due to orders issued by the suspects.

Mr. Joshua Masereka, the Resident District Commissioner for Bunyangabu Subcounty, expressed his condolences to the bereaved family while cautioning the community against any unauthorized entry to the Prison farm. He confirmed that three prison officers had been detained to collaborate with the police in the ongoing investigation.

Furthermore, in addition to providing financial support of one million shillings each to the bereaved family for burial expenses, the government extended aid to the five injured survivors with 150,000 shillings, along with Beans and Posho to assist them during their recovery.
