See The Video How Al Shabaab Killed Captured UPDF Soldiers The New Light Paper

In a disturbing video released by an Al- Shabaab, Al- Qaeda- linked jihadist group, most Uganda People’ s Defence Force (UPDF) soldiers who had sustained injuries are seen being shot at, making sure they are dead.

In the same video, others were captured and placed on a water drainage before they started firing bullets at them.

Most of the soldiers died a painful death while they saw death with their eyes but had nothing to do.

In the same video clip released by the terror group, they showed a number of UPDF soldiers who were killed during the attack on the barracks.

They also displayed a number of uniforms and military artillery they had seized from the barracks.

Following the attack, this publication has learned that most of the soldiers are still missing, and their whereabouts are still unknown.

According to one of the soldiers this publication spoke to in Somalia who preferred anonymity, he revealed that most of the soldiers were captured by the terror group, and they don’ t know if they are still alive.

One Cheptoek Sedricks, whose brother has been in the camp the terror group attacked, noted that they have tried to reach out to him but to no avail.

He further observed that they had sent someone else to try to check on him in the hospital or among the dead, but he wasn’ t seen anywhere in either category.

The attack on the UPDF has sparked a heated debate among Ugandans on why Ugandan soldiers continue to go to Somalia 15 years later, yet the president had said that they are just going to aid in training and maintain peace in the fragile Horn of Africa nation.

In the weak Horn of Africa nation, the central government has been at war with the jihadist group that has ties to Al- Qaeda for more than 15 years.

The Somali Military Commander, Muhammad Yerow Hassan, stated that the group had been repelled and that things were under control, despite Al- Shabaab’ s media channels claiming that they had gained possession of the camp.

After sending Lt. Kayanja Muhanga, the commander of the Land Forces, to Somalia on Saturday, President Museveni noted that Al- Shabaab doesn’ t know who they want to play with.
