Police have reported that an unidentified assailant shot and killed a lawyer in Kampala City on Tuesday night.

Ronnie Mukisa, a 45-year-old counsel who worked at IBC Advocates in Namanda Plaza in Kampala, was shot and killed at his home in Kitiko Birongo in Ndejje Division, Makindye Sebagabo, Wakiso District, according to police.

According to the police, early data collected by the Force indicated that Mukisa frequently arrived home after night.

He arrived in the apartment complex’s parking lot that evening about 23:00, according to the report. Mukisa parked his midnight blue Subaru Legacy and then went to lock the gate. The neighbors heard gunshots as he entered the apartment, which prompted them to look into the ruckus.

The attacker “quickly fled the scene and escaped on a waiting motorcycle, the direction of which remains unknown,” according to police.

When the Kajansi Police Station learned about the event, they responded right away. Canines were then brought in to help with the investigation after a team was sent to the scene.

The scent was lost along the route despite their best attempts, according to ASP Owoyesigyire.

Four projectiles and cartridges were recovered after a thorough investigation of the area, the author continued.

As of the time of publication, Mukisa’s body had been removed and taken to the City Mortuary for a postmortem.

“Kajansi Police Station is undertaking investigations to learn more details and determine the reason behind this horrible crime.
We want to reassure the public that every attempt is being taken to find the offender(s) and prosecute them, according to ASP Owoyesigyire.
Anyone with pertinent information about this occurrence is being urged to help the police in their investigation.
