Surrender Or Die First Son Muhoozi Tells ADF Rebels
Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the first son and Commander Land Forces (CLF), has warned the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels based in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo to surrender or face being smoked out by the UPDF.
Just over a week ago, the UPDF launched joint air and artillery attacks on ADF cells in Congo, primarily in the provinces of Ituri and North Kivu.
Since then, the UPDF has advanced into Congo, and Gen Muhoozi believes the rebels are living on borrowed time.
Pope Francis has appointed Bishop Paul Ssemwogerere as Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese; here’s everything you need to know about the late Cyprian Kizito’s replacement.
“To ADF fighters. You’ve seen what we’re capable of (the joint UPDF/FARDC forces). Operation Shujaa will continue until your terrorism is put to an end. Many of your “leaders” have already fled the bush, leaving you to your fate.
Now is the time to give up before it’s too late. In a tweet, Muhoozi said, “The joint forces will welcome you and give you a second chance.”
During an interview yesterday, Maj. Gen. Kayanja Muhanga, commander of Operation Shujaa, stated that the ground forces have advanced towards the target despite a setback caused by bad roads in the neighboring DRC country.
He stated that they have intelligence that the rebels have suffered a significant number of casualties.
Recent bomb attacks on Kampala and Masaka Road have been blamed on ADF militants.
