FUFA Drum Semi-finals 2023: Teso, Busoga, Lango, and West Nile Eye Finals Berth

The much-anticipated FUFA Drum semi-finals are set to kick off as Teso, Busoga, Lango, and West Nile provinces gear up for intense battles in their quest to secure a spot in the final.
The 1st leg semi-finals are scheduled for January 20th and 21st, 2024, with the 2nd leg taking place on January 27th and 28th, 2024. The clashes promise to deliver thrilling football action as Teso Province faces off against Busoga Province at Soroti Stadium in Soroti, while Lango Province takes on West Nile Province at Akiibua Stadium in Lira.
West Nile Province showcased resilience in the quarterfinals, edging out Buganda Province to advance to the semi-finals. Lango Province secured their spot by eliminating Acholi Province, Teso triumphed over Kigezi Province in a thrilling encounter, and Busoga Province emerged victorious against Tooro Province.
The fourth edition of the FUFA Drum comes with notable changes, including an increase in the number of games from 36 in 2022 to 42. Another significant alteration is the shift to a one-legged final for the 2023-2024 season.
Under the slogan “Celebrating our Ancestry,” the competition has witnessed fierce competition among 16 provinces: Rwenzori, Tooro, Lango, West Nile, Buganda, Kigezi, Bunyoro, Bukedi, Teso, Busoga, Karamoja, Ankole, Kampala, Sebei, Bugisu, and Acholi. Football enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the semi-final clashes that promise to showcase the skill and determination of these provincial teams as they vie for a coveted spot in the final.
