Music Promoter’s Con Game Unveiled: Katumba Fred Of FK Promotions Accused Of Swindling NRM Supporters In False Promise To Meet President Museveni

In a startling revelation, Katumba Fred, the mastermind behind FK Promotions, finds himself at the center of a police manhunt for allegedly duping NRM supporters. Exploiting the aspirations of these supporters, he purportedly used the name of Munamasaka Nsereko Emma to steal millions, promising them an audience with President Museveni.

The saga unfolded after Katumba was ousted from the Museveni Awooma team following the concert on September 16, 2023, at Kololo. Reports indicate that he not only deceived NRM supporters but also solicited money from local musicians under the guise of securing a performance in front of President Museveni.

Uganda Police, acting on a reported case at Jinja Road police station (SD REF NO: 37/16/11/023), is now on the hunt for Katumba, who stands accused of theft using the names of Emma Nsereko Munamasaka and the president himself.

One victim, Luswata Aloysius, recounted how Katumba allegedly asked him for two million Uganda shillings, promising an opportunity to meet President Museveni. However, as weeks passed without any progress, Luswata grew suspicious and sought clarification from Munamasaka, who disassociated himself from the fraudulent activity.

Munamasaka condemned the use of his name to exploit individuals, urging the public to report anyone soliciting money in exchange for access to the president. He emphasized the need for unity and called on those who fell victim to Katumba’s scheme to come forward and report the fraud.

In response to the situation, Munamasaka invited the public to join him at the Museveni Awooma extra concert at Nabweru Play Ground on December 15, 2023, starting at 10 am, as a show of solidarity against such deceptive practices.
