15 Prisoners Involved in Accident, 3 Sustain Injuries with One Under Treatment

A Fuso Truck with Registration Number UBD 901L collided with a vehicle bearing Registration Number UAS 042B, transporting 15 prisoners for labor.
The incident occurred on Thursday, 23rd November 2023, at 0900hrs in KAIKOLONGO – Katovu, Lwengo District.
Three prisoners were injured and promptly taken to Masaka Regional Referral Hospital for further treatment. Of the three, two prisoners have been discharged after receiving medical care.
However, Prisoner No. KYA/100/2023, identified as Niwamanya Junior and charged with robbery, remains hospitalized but is not in critical condition.
