Once earning only a few pounds a week, Dr. Sudhir has risen to prominence as one of Uganda’s most successful businessmen, with diversified interests spanning banking, real estate, hospitality, education, media, insurance, and floriculture.

As Uganda’s wealthiest families prepare for generational transitions, Dr. Sudhir, the chairman of Ruparelia Group, has already begun integrating the next generation into his business empire. His son, Rajiv Ruparelia, now serves as the managing director of Ruparelia Group, a position he has held for the past five years. This generational handover reflects the group’s commitment to empowering both family members and external professionals, ensuring long-term sustainability and leadership continuity.
