Kampala, Uganda — Prominent businessman and philanthropist Sudhir Ruparelia recently celebrated a significant birthday surrounded by close family and friends at an intimate gathering in Kampala. The celebration was marked by heartfelt speeches, family moments, and a look back at Sudhir’s impactful journey in Uganda’s business landscape.

The event, held at one of Sudhir’s luxury hotels, brought together Uganda’s elite, including business leaders, government officials, and friends from across the country and abroad. His wife, Jyotsna Ruparelia, along with their three children, Rajiv, Meera, and Sheena, shared stories highlighting Sudhir’s achievements, kindness, and dedication to both family and community.

Rajiv, who has followed in his father’s footsteps, spoke movingly of his father’s influence, crediting him for instilling the values of hard work, resilience, and integrity in the next generation.

As the founder of the Ruparelia Group, Sudhir has established a formidable legacy, spanning real estate, banking, hospitality, and education, which has significantly shaped Uganda’s economic landscape. His wife Jyotsna shared her pride in his accomplishments and unwavering commitment to Uganda, reflecting on their journey together from humble beginnings to becoming one of the country’s most influential families.

The celebration featured a series of video messages from friends and partners abroad who could not attend. These messages reflected Sudhir’s widespread impact and the admiration he has garnered over the years. His grandchildren, dressed in traditional attire, also added a special touch to the event, delighting guests with a surprise song dedicated to their grandfather.
