Man Hangs Himself In His Garden After Wife Falls In Love With Their Church Pastor

A tragic incident has rocked Nakasongola district as James Kayongo, 32, reportedly took his own life amidst despair over his wife’s alleged romantic involvement with their church pastor.

The distressing event unfolded in Kyabisire village, situated in Lwampanga sub-county of Nakasongola district, where James Kayongo, a resident, was found deceased on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Regional Police Spokesman, Sam Twiineamaziima, confirmed the unfortunate occurrence, stating that Kayongo’s lifeless body was discovered hanging from a tree in his garden the following Saturday morning. Subsequently, the authorities initiated a postmortem examination.

According to sources close to the investigation, Kayongo had been embroiled in frequent domestic disputes with his wife, stemming from her alleged involvement with multiple partners. Despite Kayongo’s efforts to dissuade his wife from attending church, particularly to see their pastor, his attempts proved futile.

Reports indicate that Kayongo, overwhelmed by the situation and unable to halt his wife’s relationship with their pastor, made the heartbreaking decision to end his own life.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this tragedy, burial arrangements for James Kayongo are currently underway.

This incident sheds light on the complexities of domestic relationships and underscores the need for support mechanisms for individuals facing emotional distress.
