KINKIZI East Member of Parliament, Chris Baryomunsi, has delivered an ambulance and three tricycles to bolster emergency health response in Kanungu District. The fully equipped type B ambulance, facilitating treatment during transit, will serve the district hospital at Kambuga, while the tricycles are assigned to support health centers threes and fours.

Birungi Mutahunga, the DHO of Kanungu district, emphasized that the additional ambulance will extend services, especially considering the challenging terrain of the district. He mentioned that each ambulance caters to 100,000 people, and with the district’s population exceeding 300,000, there’s optimism for more ambulances. Two ambulances have already been delivered to Kinkizi West and Kinkizi East Counties.

Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, the MP for Kinkizi East, cautioned against mismanagement of the ambulances and commended the government for fulfilling its pledges to support healthcare in the country.
