Janet Museveni Tests Positive for COVID-19
Reassuring the nation, President Museveni stated that Janet, a first-time Corona warrior, is responding well, and COVID-19 is under management.

President Museveni announced that despite an initial negative Rapid Corona Test, his wife Janet Kataha Museveni’s second COVID-19 test turned out positive. Janet began feeling uneasy with throat upsets, weakness, and headaches after a family lunch on Christmas Day.On Boxing Day, President Museveni underwent a COVID-19 test as a precaution, yielding a negative result. Following this, Janet was advised to self-isolate at one of the houses in Rwakyitura, while President Museveni continued with his scheduled programs, from which Janet was excluded.
Participation in events such as Kyankwanzi or Honorable Alice Kaboyo’s functions was canceled due to the impact of COVID-19.
President Museveni shared, “I met General Daglo from the Sudan Civil war, and today I will meet other guests and the Kiruhuura-Kazo Dairy Farmers on the 2nd of January.”
Museveni expressed amazement at remaining negative despite sharing the same room and an air-conditioned car to Entebbe and back to Nakasero State House. He pondered whether his previous COVID-19 infection in May contributed to his current negative status.
