Kilembe Mines Hospital Staff Withdrawal Sparks Local Outcry; Residents Plan Peaceful Demonstration, Seek IGP’s Protection

The Member of Parliament for Kasese Municipality, Kambale Ferigo, has mobilized locals in Kasese Municipality to participate in a peaceful demonstration protesting the withdrawal of staff from Kilembe Mines Hospital.
MP Ferigo will lead the demonstration, expressing dissatisfaction and grievances over what he perceives as a move that endangers the lives of citizens, particularly those benefiting from Kilembe Mines Hospital services.
The planned demonstration is scheduled for December 1st, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The route will commence from Kilembe Mines Hospital, proceeding to Kasese roundabout, and concluding at Mayor’s Gardens in Kasese Municipality.
Consultations have been made with the management of Kilembe Mines Hospital and the leadership of Mayor’s Gardens, securing their approval for the use of the respective venues during the demonstration.
