Ministry Of Trade, Industry Reinstates PS Busuulwa After President’s Directive

In a move that has taken the nation by surprise, the Ministry of
Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives PS, Ms. Geraldine Ssali Busulwa, has been reinstated as the accounting Officer, following a directive from H.E. the President.
The decision to reinstate Ms. Busuulwa comes after the President’s letter, dated October 22.2023, highlighted the need to appoint her back to her previous role.
The President’s Directive has been swiftly implemented by the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, as well as the Office of the Head of Public Service.
Ms. Geraldine Ssali Busuulwa, a highly respected professional with a wealth of experience intrade and industry, had previously served as the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Trade,Industry and cooperatives
Her reinstatement is expected to bring stability and expertise to the
ministry, as it continues its efforts to promote economic growth and development in the country.
Reacting to the news, Ms. Busuulwa expressed her gratitude for the president’s trust andconfidence in her abilities. She vowed to work diligently to contribute to the ministry’s objectives.and uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability in her role.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives plays a crucial role in driving Uganda’seconomic agenda, fostering trade relationships both domestically and internationally, andpromoting the growth of industries and cooperatives.
